WOMEN'S OPEN STABLEFORD AT DAINTON PARK GOLF CLUB

The DevonGolf Women's Open Stableford was held at Dainton Park Golf Club and is split into 2 divisions - Division 1 (handicaps 0 to 21.4) and  Division 2 (handicaps 21.5 to 40.4). 

Much silverware is up for grabs and 13 clubs from across the county were represented across the two divisions. 

Yvonne Alford (DevonGolf Director) was the starter and presenter of the silverware, seeing 63 women on their way to play the 18 holes. Dainton Park proved to be challenging with greens that some of the best putters found difficult to read but all the women were praising the course condition and, although the early golfers had a chilly start, the day improved with the later competitors finishing in glorious sunshine.

Thanks must go to Ben Gauntlett (Director of Golf) for his help with the organisation of this competition, the excellent catering staff who kept us all watered and fed and made us very welcome, the greens staff who worked so hard to produce a wonderful course and, finally, Richard (Head Pro) and his team who managed the 2s competition and were on hand to help with any queries.

Division 1 Winners

2s were scored in Division 1 by Penny Deakin (Okehampton), Nuan Forsyth (Stover), Vicky Holloway (Torquay), Nikki Kidd (Bigbury) and Lesley Pascoe (Stover).
