DEVON TEAM SELECTED FOR ENGLISH BOYS' NATIONAL FINALS

The following 7 boys have been selected to represent Devon in the English Boys National Finals later this month at North Foreland Golf Club in Kent.

The 2019 final is 27th-29th August. This final is contested by four county boys’ teams, each representing one of the England Golf regional groups.

The round robin match play event takes place over 3 days. Each day’s play consists of 3 games of 18-hole foursomes in the morning and 6 games of 18-hole singles in the afternoon.

Each county enters a team of 7 players. Any 6 of these may play in the foursomes and any 6 in the singles of each match.

This is very much a squad effort to achieve our successes to date and those unfortunately not selected were and are still instrumental in the journey to these finals. These players include Eliot Baker (Fingle Glen), Lewis Beer (Exeter GCC), Danny Lewis (East Devon) and Chris Greenberry (Stover) who were part of the squad leading up to the SW team championship qualifier. This strength and depth helped towards the team winning by an incredible 26 shots!
