English Men's Amateur Roundup!

Jake Burnage of Sunton had a really good run in the English Amateur at the Formby and Hesketh Golf Club, finishing tied 7th in the 36-hole qualifying stroke play tournament with a 3-under par total of 140 before progressing to the last 16 where he lost a very tight match at the final hole to Oliver Farrell of Evesham GC.

In the previous 3 rounds of match play Jake defeated, in reverse order, John Gough of Stoke Park 2/1 and Tom Duncalf of Sandiway 3/1.

Tiverton’s Bradley Scott also made the match play stages after scoring 145 but sadly lost to James Cass of Fulford in the first round.

Harrison Greenberry from Exeter missed the cut for the match play by just 1 shot.
