A GOOD FINISH FOR THE WARREN'S TIM AGGETT

A number of DevonGolf Senior Men played in the English Senior Men's Open Amateur Championship with 288 entrants, played at Sherwood Forest and Coxmoor Golf Clubs. 

Narrowly missing the cut was Teignmouth's Andre Hogan, not far behind was Jim Colvin of East Devon, Tony Allsop and Simon Waddington of Tiverton. Other DevonGolf players not playing the final day were Philip Lyons of Churston, Graham Ruth of Tavistock and Richard Armitage of Teignmouth.

DevonGolf's top finisher was Tim Aggett of The Warren who tied in 17th place. Exeter Golf & Country Club's Colin Papworth and Paul Vicary of Saunton were tied 39th. Only 1 shot behind them was East Devon's Paul Newcombe and Dainton Park's Richard Ward. 

Congratulations to Ian Attloe of Worpleson Golf Club who emerged the winner after a nail-biting 1 extra hole.
