DEVON JUNIORS FORGE A WIN v CORNWALL

Devon U18s just pip the Cornish counterparts in this annual friendly strokeplay match to open the season.  What a day weather-wise it turned out to be, but the Devon boys gritted their teeth and stuck to the task to turnover "the old enemy" on away soil too!

Devon Team Manager Grahame Moore said "I was full of praise for both teams who played very well under extremely unpleasant weather conditions. I was very pleased with all the Devon boys, although in some cases where there were some low scores, this was mainly due to the very testing greens. It was a very worthwhile exercise, that hopefully should stand us in good stead for the SWCGA Championship in July".
