DEVON JUNIORS v DEVON GOLF CAPTAINS MATCH

Our young opponents, all under 18, were as usual immaculately presented in their County uniform. The Juniors, under the watchful eye of Graham Moore, their Team Manager, who incidentally looks very well after his recent health issues and confirmed so, had a couple of subs in his team as did the Captains' team.

All matches were relatively close, when you consider age and ability, and were played in the usual sporting and pleasant manner. A pleasure for all the Captains was to enjoy these young sportsmen swinging the club so athletically, to emulate may well require months of physiotherapy for us mature athletes!

Some of these young men will undoubtedly go on to higher levels in County golf and maybe even beyond. We wish them all well and as Mike Badcock, DGC Captain, said in his closing remarks, we pay tribute to their parents, junior organisers in their golf clubs and of course Graham Moore, the County's Team Manager. Bradley Scott, the Junior’s Vice-Captain, replied and thanked the Club and its members for their hospitality and use of the golf course.
