Teignmouth win the Palairet Plate at Yelverton

Results

A lovely blustery day greeted the 23 club teams who gathered for the annual Palairet Plate competition.  About 11.30, the rains came in for about 30 mins to give the course and competitors a good dowsing.  From then on until the close of play, the sun came out and the wind blew to produce testing playing conditions.  All commented on how well the course was presented with excellent surfaces to the greens. 

Teignmouth were victorious on 99 points, with Portmore on 97 and Saunton on 96.  Sidmouth and Libbaton followed both on 95. Thanks to all who played to make it a very successful and enjoyable day.  Thanks also to all members and staff of host club. Yelverton.
