SWCGA U16/U14 Results

 This Championship was played at Kingsdown Golf Club on Friday 29th May 2015.
 The Devon squad went up the day before for a practice round under the guidance
 of  our County coach Gary Milne, which went well and left the boys confident for
 the next day.

 Championship day the weather changed, for the first 2 hours the early starters had
 heavy rain and gale force wind to contend with. This resulted in high scores being
 returned by everyone. Out of the 54 boys that played, only 5 of them broke 80. The
 SSS for the course was 72, but due to the weather, it was 74 for the day, and only 1
 boy from Gloucestershire achieved this.

 Gloucestershire won the Championship, with Wiltshire second and ourselves third.
 There were good performances from George Bryant, Harrison King, Bradley Scott
 and Sam Keyte for the U16 team and James Reed for the U14 team. Unfortunately,
 we lacked the consistency in scores returned, compared to the 2 counties that were
 above us.

 I make no excuses as the conditions were the same for everyone. The golf course was
 excellent and the Kingsdown Golf Club staff and members made us all welcome.
