Devon Men win over the Ladies at Woodbury Park

'This handicap match was played over 18 holes on a holes won basis. The Devon Men's teamed performed well despite giving plenty of shots. In particular, Tom Simpson and Will Farley stormed to a 7 up victory after 18 holes. All matches were played to a finish with excellent golf being played, but the Men's short game proved to be the winner in the end.'

I would like to thank Sue and her team for helping to make it a great day and to Woodbury for proving their course and clubhouse facilities. We wish every success to the Devon Ladies team to bring the coveted regional and national trophies to Devon in 2015.

'We had a very good day at Woodbury last Sunday. Grahame was a fine host and the boys behaved like gentlemen. The match was close and luckily we didn't spoil the 'run' of success your teams are having. Well done and long may it continue and maybe hopefully such success will pass to the Ladies as well, please! The DCLGA thank Woodbury for giving us courtesy and DCGU for their generosity inviting the ladies as your guests.
