STILL INTER-CLUB CHALLENGE TROPHY
Presented in 1903 by Charles Still, the Still Inter-Club Challenge Trophy is a knockout single matchplay competition played off scratch.
The draw rotates annually so that the clubs play across the county. Teams consist of 7 players, playing in ascending handicap order. The scoring for each game/match is:
Away win = 3 pts
Home win = 2 pts
Away half = 1½ pts
Home half = 1 pt
Overall match:
Winning team - based on number of matches won: add 2 pts
Halved match - based on number of matches won: add 1 pt each
The competition culminates in quarter, semi and finals matches to decide the winner.
The Still Inter-Club Challenge Trophy was stolen from Teignmouth Golf Club in 2024 and has not been recovered.
