U18 BOYS PREPARE TO START THE COMPETITIVE SEASON
First County Under 18 Selections of the Competitive Season
DevonGolf's Under-18 Team Manager Mark Sangster has made the first selections for the 2025 season as the inter-county match calendar kicks off.
The U18's open their Roy Greenaway League season with a match against Somerset at East Devon on 9th April and team selections are:
- Charlie Ashbee (Yelverton)
- Hugo Dennison (Woodbury Park)
- Freddie Eglin (Tiverton)
- George Inch (Thurlestone)
- Harry Cann (Saunton)'
- Jack Thorpe (Woodbury Park)
- Joe Aldous (Staddon Heights)
- Callum Gore (Woodbury Park)
- Will Hoskin (Thurlestone)
- Archie Griffiths (Sidmouth)
Mark will then take an 8-man team to the 2-day Four Counties Championship which is this year being hosted by Somerset at Clevedon Golf Club on 16th/17th April. Devon will play the hosts, Cornwall and Dorset in single round matches after a first day round of medal-play. Gore, Hoskin and Griffiths all drop out of the selection whilst Exeter’s Josh Murphy joins the remaining 7.
