Four Players selected from Devon to represent the SW Men's Team
Congratulations to four Devon players on their selection for the South West team in their annual fixture against the midlands.
Eliot Baker, Matt Millar, Dan Rosevear and Jay Scott are rewarded for successful seasons individually and representing club, county and country.
Eliot Baker (Tiverton) represented England on early season overseas trips to South America and Spain before a domestic season highlighted by a top 4 finish in the Brabazon Trophies and a full England cap in the England Vs France international match.
Millar (Dainton Park) a previous winner of the Clifford Burden Trophy finished in the top 10 of English Amateur strokeplay qualifying and won the Goodban Trophy for best Devon performance at the South West Strokeplay.
Scott (Tiverton) Won the Clifford Burden Trophy with an impressive unbeaten week recording 8.5 match points from a possible 9. Jay had already reached the final of the Devon Amateur earlier in the season and went on to qualify for the final stage of Open qualifying.
Rosevear (Thurlestone) Completed the Devon double by winning the Gold Medal and Devon Amateur Championship in dominant fashion at Teignmouth in May.
