ROGER WORTHINGTON ANNOUNCED AS DEVONGOLF PRESIDENT FOR 2025

DevonGolf President announced for 2025

It brings DevonGolf great pleasure to inform the membership that the DevonGolf President for 2025 will be Roger Worthington from Exeter Golf and Country Club.

Roger has a rich history with the county and has been involved with county activities for over 10 years as a volunteer. Roger has represented Devon at Senior level as a county player following his move down to the county, having previously played for Lancashire and Bolton Boys. His first volunteer role within the county was as a rules official/referee which then led to other volunteer roles such as coordinating junior coaching, managing the Men's County 2nd team, assisting the U18 Boys alongside the late Graham Moore and supporting Pete Lawrence with Men's 1st Team activities.

In recent times Roger has held the post of Performance Director on the board following the unification of the Devon Golf Union and the Devon County Ladies' Golf Association in April 2018.

Roger said he is delighted and humbled by this appointment and looks forward to continuing to support the county, teams and players. I am sure you will join us in congratulating Roger on this prestigious appointment.

Roger will become the DevonGolf Vice President in March 2024 at the AGM and then the DevonGolf President for a 2 year term of office from March 2025.
