Congratulations to all clubs and players who competed in the Golf Sixes League and congratulations to Stover Golf Club for their successful campaign in 2023. Judging by the smiles on Saturday, I think everyone enjoyed themselves regardless of where they finished in the table. Despite Cayman Golf’s brave efforts in the last fixture it wasn’t quite enough to pip Stover to their first-place finish and well done to everyone that took part.

Thanks to Simon Wood and Yelverton Golf Club for hosting a brilliant final event. I enjoyed seeing all the groups out on the short course and testing their pitching skills on some smaller green targets. I also extend my thanks and gratitude to all Team Managers for the time and commitment you always put in – the children clearly benefit from this opportunity and the atmosphere is always so positive and friendly. As you know, the main aim of the League is to provide juniors (and their families) with the opportunity to get out onto the course and experience this fun format whilst socialising and enjoying other courses.

Final League Standings

1st - Stover (27½  points)
2nd - Cayman (24 points)
3rd - Thurlestone (17 points)
4th - Boringdon Park (13½ points)
5th - Yelverton (8 points)

I hope you’ve enjoyed being part of the League for 2023 and really hope we will be welcoming you again in 2024 and growing the League even more.

Thanks again.
