SENIORS' STABLEFORD CHAMPIONSHIP - HONITON GOLF CLUB
53 men of a certain age gathered at Honiton Golf Club from 20 clubs across Devon for the DevonGolf Seniors' Stableford Championship. Honiton Golf Club was looking immaculate and playing quite tough, even for the more experienced amongst the players.
The competition is three competitions within one. There are 6 prizes and a trophy for the Best Nett Stableford score, 3 prizes for the Best Gross Stableford score and the Pensioners' Plate (rude!) for those aged 65 and over.
Nett Stableford
There were many familiar faces from the DevonGolf Seniors' team with handicaps playing as low as -1. Indeed, it was Seniors' team member Jeremy Binch (Warren - PH -1) who was first out and posted a nett 33 Stableford points. Stephen Nunn (Sidmouth), a familiar and friendly face on the DevonGolf circuit played a few tee times behind, posting a nett 36 points. Stephen held onto that lead for most of the day until Ian Tait (Bigbury - PH 9) nearer the end of the field posted the winning nett Stableford score of 38 points.

Seniors' Stableford Gross Champion 2023
Gross Stableford
First out was Jeremy Binch setting the pace for the Gross Stableford prize with his 34 points. He remained untouched until DevonGolf Seniors' team mate Chris Audin, three-quarters down the field, posted a gross 36 points to steal the limelight, pushing Jeremy into second place. In third place was DevonGolf Seniors' team member and DevonGolf's Competitions' Director Tim Aggett with 31 points. A clean sweep in the top 3 spots for both the DevonGolf Seniors' team and the Warren Golf Club.

The Pensioner's Plate saw Steven Nunn (Sidmouth) win with 36 points and Richard Pillow (Exeter) was second with 34 points.
