DEVON'S TOBY WHITE PERFORMS BRILLIANTLY IN EUROPEAN JUNIOR OPEN IN SPAIN

Having qualified for the European Junior Open, Devon county player (junior and men), Toby White from Thurlestone Golf Club traveled to Spain to the Alcaidesa Links Golf Resort to compete against the top junior boys across Europe having qualified in the UK.

Toby was delighted to post consistent scores of [+3] [+2] [+3] across the 54 hole finishing T17 out of 125 boys.

The European Junior Open is one of the top events on the Junior circuit. Not only playing on a very tricky course, couple this with strong winds and tricky conditions, finishing T17 is an incredible achievement.

Toby reflected on the week and thanked his Dad (and Head Professional at Thurlestone Golf Club) Steve White for not only being on the bag but helping fund this wonderful opportunity.

Toby remarked that he really enjoyed the experience and learnt a lot, which will no doubt help him become an even better golfer for the years to come.

He now finishes his Junior Golf programme as a result of being 18, moving his focus to his individual journey and the DevonGolf County Men's programme.

Well done Toby, we are proud to have you flying the flag for Devon and the magnificent Thurlestone Golf Club.
