Bigbury Golf Club welcomed some very young golfers for the Devon U12s Junior Championship, played over 18 holes. Mixing with the "big boys and girls" in the clubhouse, it must have been a daunting undertaking to play in such a big competition, on a course most of them haven't played before. If there were nerves, they all hid them very well and approached the first tee like young professionals. It was a pleasure to see such fine golf from them as they hit their first ball of the competition down the long par 5 first.
Archie Griffiths from Sidmouth Golf Club posted an excellent 83 for the u12 gross prize and Leo Chapman from Yelverton Golf Club posted a nett 63 to take the u12 nett prize.
