SOUTH WEST v MIDLANDS MATCH

The 2021 match between the South Western Counties' Golf Association and The Midlands Golf Union took place on Friday, 17th September 2021 at the fine Fulford Heath Golf Club in pleasant golfing conditions. The South West team had three representatives from Devon - Eliot Baker (Tiverton), Jack Pope (Exeter) and Lewis Beer (Exeter).

The morning Foursomes saw the SWCGA take a 3-2 lead into the afternoon Singles matches. However, the afternoon saw the Midlands take the first four matches by sizeable margins. Phil White stemmed the flow with a fine 5-4 victory before the Midlands took the next four matches to secure victory. Tom Law took a half in the last match.
