The Still Cup semi-finals were held at Churston Golf Club on 9th August 2021. After a wet beginning to the day, the skies brightened and the ladies arrived early, ready to play some top-class golf to secure a coveted place in the final. DevonGolf Director Pam St Leger was on the first tee to start the games.

The first match out was Saunton v Stover. This was a closely fought match, with one game going down the 19th. Eventually there were 2 games apiece, with all eyes on the remaining game for the result which came as a Stover win on the 18th. The second match was between East Devon and Royal North Devon. RND battled hard despite, only being able to field four players on the day. East Devon proved to be the stronger side, winning the match 3-0. Stover will now play East Devon in the Still Cup Final at RND on 1st October.

We rounded off the day with the presentation of semi-finalist trophies to RND Team Captain Gro Lomas and Saunton Lady Captain Pat Barker. Congratulations to the teams for reaching this stage of the competition. Our thanks go to Churston Golf Club staff, Lady Captain Iris Butler and her team for hosting the day and looking after everyone so well, and to Kate Field and Pam St Leger who refereed the matches.
