Attention: DevonGolf Affiliated Golf Clubs – Inter Club Team Managers

In light of the change to the date for the next stage of the Government’s Pathway out of Lockdown being changed please note the following: -

Devon Golf is NOT changing the round dates nor start dates for any of the County Inter-Club tournaments for both men and women. All previously set round dates for the Palairet and Parker Trophies for the men are unchanged, as are the dates for the latter stages of all the women’s Inter-Club events. This will also mean that all club-arranged fixtures throughout the various divisions of the women’s Inter-Club events can go ahead as planned.

I would, however, draw your attention to the guidance as previously issued. Whilst cognisant that England Golf have a different approach in order to keep things as simple as possible for host venues please adhere to the no caddies requirement for the moment and spectators are not to be encouraged. This will be kept under review.

I would also remind all team captains/managers responsible for inter-club events that they should be contacting the host venue to make themselves aware of any Covid-19 requirements that host venue might have. This is particularly important in view of the team sizes for the 1st and 2nd rounds of the Palairet Memorial Trophy to be played on Sunday 27th June and Sunday 4th July.

All the rules for the various competitions remain as outlined on the DevonGolf website, please refer to this if in doubt.
