THE LATE KEITH ABRAHAM

It is with regret that I have to inform you of the passing of Keith Abraham a former captain of Saunton Golf Club.

Keith passed away last week and will be remembered by many people for his generosity and philanthropy in a variety of interests.

One of his roles in particular, as a benefactor, was to DevonGolf donating many thousands of pounds when known as Devon County Golf Union. In the centenary year alone (2011), he had contributed circa £25,000 towards this celebration.

Keith was also a great supporter of junior golf in Devon. Each year the junior boys play for both the Keith Abraham Cup and the Keith Abraham Centenary Salver for the under 18 scratch championship and under 18 team manager award respectively.

Keith was a terrific character in every sense of the word and always good company. Many stories of time spent with Keith will be repeated and entertain those of us who were fortunate enough to have known him.
