WOMEN'S BOWMAKER

Women's Bowmaker Competition - 1st October 2020

During these very strange times of Covid-19, the only women's competition to go ahead, other than the modified forms of County Championships this year, was the County Bowmaker and even Storm Alex decided to be kind to us with only a few heavy showers at the end of the day.

Honiton Golf Club was the host venue for this event. Held under Covid-19 restrictions, (something we are all adjusting to), 28 teams of 3 ladies, from 18 clubs all over Devon took part.

Sadly, presentations are not allowed but this cup will eventually be presented to the winning team made up of Barbara Abrams, Pauline Bezzant and Sally Jago from Holswothy Golf Club with 82 points, 2 points ahead of Patricia Forsbury, Cheryl Waterfield and Julie Pinch from Boringdon Park Golf Club with 80 points. 

On behalf of DevonGolf I would like to thank Adrian (Pro and Manager), the catering and bar staff, green keepers and starters for making us welcome and for being on hand to help and ensure the day ran smoothly.
