DEVONGOLF JUNIOR BOYS' & GIRLS' CHAMPIONSHIP

Torquay Golf Club hosted the 2020 DevonGolf Junior Championships on Sunday, 20th September.

75 boys and girls took part representing 19 clubs from all over Devon.

The competition was held adhering to strict COVID-19 conditions and compliments must go to Torquay Golf Club on how they manage this situation and I am sure everyone taking part felt safe. A thank you must go to all staff and volunteers for all their help and hospitality. The course was in a lovely condition proving quite a challenge to some and easier for others.

Lauren McGinnis of Churston Golf Club retained her title of Junior Girls' Champion with a gross 75 and the Handicap Champion’s Cup went to Isabelle Tarr, also from Churston Golf Club with a net 65.

The Boys' Junior Champion was Eliot Baker from Fingle Glen Golf Club with a gross 68 and the winner for the nett trophy was Freddie Bucknell, Tiverton Golf Club, with a net 62.
