UK Coaching Launches Safeguarding & Protecting Children Online Classroom To Address the Lockdown Challenge

These isolating times call for inventive measures to help coaches stay connected, so that you may continue your learning and development irrespective of the restrictions imposed on you by the coronavirus ‘lockdown’.

UK Coaching has launched a response to the disruptive impact of the pandemic by creating an Online Classroom to replace our existing Safeguarding & Protecting Children workshop while the current restrictions on face to face training continue, as we believe it is important that Safeguarding training* – a Minimum Deployment Requirement by the sector – is still made available at this time to maintain continuity of learning.

That way, when life returns to normal, coaches will be fully equipped to maintain a safe and fun environment for all our children and young people.

The interim interactive virtual training – which has the full support of the Child Protection in Sport Unit (CPSU) and has been awarded 3 CPD points by the Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA) – allows delegates to ask questions in a safe environment facilitated by a qualified safeguarding tutor. It also provides the opportunity to discuss specific safeguarding issues that arise during the training.

There are plenty of Online Classrooms available to book on.
