FINGLE GLEN WINNERS OF THE PARKER TROPHY 2019

The Parker Trophy finals day saw Dainton Park Golf Club saw 4 teams gather to play the newly reformatted day where 2 semi final matches take place in the morning, the winners progressing to the afternoon's final.

The 4 teams were Stover, Fingle Glen, Torquay and Thurlestone who were all excited to be part of this Finals' Day.  Stover played Fingle Glen and Thurlestone played Torquay. The morning did not disappoint with some excellent golf being played, making way for a Fingle Glen v Torquay final. 

After 9 holes the scores were very much in the balance, with Torquay edging the predicted score. However the top two games swung and the Baker brothers took the first point for Fingle Glen against an in-form Craig Passmore and Scott Pym. This swiftly followed with the second Fingle Glen pairing taking their match with Burchell and Hoskins beating Overton and Bicknell 2&1.Gilpin and Thorne got a point on the board for Torquay 4-3 but this was merely a consolation point as Fingle Glen secured the victory and were crowned the Parker Trophty 2019 winners.
