It takes a lot to keep the DevonGolf show on the road - not least the work from our volunteers across the county. To say 'thank you', DevonGolf Directors invited the Area Representatives, Course Raters, Referees, Competition Secretaries, Junior Organisers, DevonGolf Captains, County and Regional Support Officers, sponsors.......  to the first DevonGolf Volunteers Day. Volunteers from clubs across the county joined in - Bigbury, Churston, Downes Crediton, East Devon, Elfordleigh, Exeter, Royal North Devon, Saunton, Stover, Tavistock, Teignmouth, Teign Valley, Tiverton, Torquay, Woodbury Park, Wrangaton and Yelverton were represented. Handicaps were pretty impressive too, ranging from +1 to 24, leading one to ask, "How do they find the time to play such amazing golf and still volunteer for DevonGolf?"

Tiverton Golf Club was the venue and proved, as always, to be excellent hosts. The course was looking fine and played beautifully. The weather, however, was a little less kind with none of the wet stuff but a lot of cold. It was entirely a fun day to meet old and new friends and enjoy a meal afterwards. Whilst everyone was told that "Points don't necessarily mean prizes", there was a bottle of the fizzy stuff for each of the 3 members from the winning team.

Our thanks to Tiverton for their ongoing support in providing their fantastic course on this and so many occasions. But, best of all, it was great to be able to thank our hardworking and dedicated volunteers.
