DEVONGOLF
It is with great sadness that DevonGolf Report the recent passing of Alf Palmer .
Alf was a tremendous supporter of the county and his local club Staddon Heights which he joined back in 1963. His contributions to golf continued throughout his membership, becoming the captain of Staddon Heights in 1984 and 1992 and club President in 2000-2002. He later became more involved in the county joining the Executive and being honoured as County President in 2007 (picture below).

Alf was also instrumental in documenting the 100 years of the Devon County Golf Union as part of the small centenary committee - to whom we owe a debt of gratitude for his contribution.
As well as serving on the Executive for a number of years, Alf also went on to be the South West President in 2010-11.
Alf will be hugely missed by friends and family and the golfing community as a whole as he was loved and respected by all.
