GOOD LUCK CHARLOTTE

DevonGolf are delighted to announce that Charlotte Husband has accepted the captaincy of the DevonGolf Junior Girls for 2019 following the excellent captaincy by Lexi Dart of Churston Golf Club in 2018.

Charlotte, now 17, has been playing golf since she was 7. She began at the beautiful East Devon Golf Club where she is still a member, although her home club is now Exeter Golf & Country Club.

Charlotte's first handicap was 36 but she has done pretty well over her 10 year playing career and now plays off 5. Charlotte played in the South West Inter-Counties    Match Week at Exeter G&CC in 2016, always a tough and competitive, and played in the England Girls' Amateur Championships in 2018. Charlotte's excellent play      and team values when playing for the DevonGolf Ladies' 2nd Team for the last 2 years have led to her Junior Captaincy.

The person who continues to inspire Charlotte is Stacey Lewis for her strength of character and determination through the years. American professional golfer Stacey    plays on the U.S.-based LPGA Tour winning two major championships - the Kraft Nabisco Championship in 2011 and the Women's British Open in 2013.

Charlotte says, "My plans for 2019 for the DevonGolf Junior Girls is to encourage more junior girls to compete, hopefully strengthening the Inter-Counties Team we        will  be taking to Dudsbury in August later this year."
