A DRAW FOR DEVON GIRLS v CORNWALL

A midday start meant a dry but blustery round of golf for our Devon Girls for their match away at Launceston against Cornwall Girls. Both sides fielded some new and promising young players for this fixture.  

The tricky conditions proved a good challenge to all, and the overnight heavy rain also made the course play a little longer.  The girls played 4-ball better ball format, with the first game a good win for Devon.  Cornwall came back with a win from the second game, although Devon soon hit back with another win. The outcome of the match was finally decided on the 18th, with all team members and family in support. A win for Cornwall 1 up in this game meant the overall match was halved. A good result for a closely fought competition.
