DEVONGOLF GIRLS' COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIP 2018

Tavistock was the venue for the DevonGolf Junior County Championships this year. The day was fine with a moderate breeze but a pleasant temperature. The field was rather small but the girls were enthusiastic and ready to enjoy a good day's golf. The lovely course that is Tavistock threw out its usual challenges of prickly gorse and roaming sheep, as well as passing traffic, but the girls did not allow any of the distractions to take their attention from playing great golf.

Everyone posted a very respectable score, with a few outstanding ones. The standard scratch for the day was 73, so Churston's Lexi Dart's gross score of 76 was excellent and she is a most deserving winner and holder of the title of Girls' County Champion for 2018.
