The Devon U18 Team travelled to Weymouth Golf Club for two days preparation prior to the event. The team's attitude and focus were first class and up to the task!

Two very commendable performances in the individual event came from Bradley Scott 72 (Tiverton) and George Bryant 75 (Staddon Heights). Whilst we were runners-up to a very good Dorset side in the team strokeplay we put our disappointment behind us to go on and have a resounding victory beating Somerset 7-0 on Wednesday afternoon!

The boys have just begun their second match on day two against the old enemy Cornwall!! Devon won a hard fought match 4-3 this morning, losing two matches at the 19th. A real gritty performance from our boys!

Despite another tight game and our back match (foursomes) losing at the 19th, Devon lost to Dorset by 4 games to 3. However, I am really proud of the boys as they became the Junior 4 Counties Matchplay Champions!

Their attitude and commitment were very professional all week!  Many thanks Grahame Moore, Team Manager, Dave Roberts Assistant Team Manager and the staff and members of Weymouth GC for allowing us to use their course for these championships.
