LADIES' ICMW - DAY 2 UPDATE

Today's DevonGolf ladies play Gloucestershire. Our 3 Foursomes pairings were Julia Norman (Warren) & Lauren Pearce (Woodbury) v Alex Saunders & Alex Giles but Gloucestershire won 3-1. Next up was Keeley Clarke (Torquay) & Grace Jackson (Exeter) v Sam Round & Issy Hopkins. In spite of some great golf, Keeley & Grace suffered the same fate as our first pairing losing 3-1. Evie Stone (East Devon) & Lexi Dart (Churston) didn't find it easy losing 6-5.

The afternoon's 6 singles matches line up as follows and the final scores are:

Caley McGinty v Abby Turner (Okehampton) - Gloucester 5-4
Claudia Ovens v Keeley Clarke (Torquay) - Devon 4-2
Charlie Hiatt v Lexi Dart (Churston) - Gloucestershire  Halved
Jess Brown v Emily Morey (East Devon) - 1 up
Alex Saunders v Lauren Pearce (Woodbury Park) - Devon 3-1
Alex Giles v Julia Norman (Warren) - Gloucestershire 1 up

That means Devon scored no points in the morning but won the afternoon games 3½-2½ giving Gloucestershire a day's total of 5½ to our 3½. This translates to 2 match points to Gloucester today and no points for Devon. But it was oh, so close!!!
