The third of the year’s Seniors' Order of Merit events took place at a pretty damp Yelverton on Sunday, 28th April. Despite forecasts of a dry day, play took place through a steady and heavy drizzle which affected everyone competing in the event.

Saunton’s Barrie Buller took the top spot in the handicap with an excellent 40 points from his handicap of 11, but only did so on a countback from former County Senior Champion Grahame Sanford (5), now a Super Senior and showing no diminishing of his ability shooting an excellent gross score of 72.

Regular supporter of Senior events Chris Rowe (14) of Dainton Park took third with 36, with Handicap OOM defending champion Barrie Keith (4) in fourth place with 35, just ahead of retired former DevonGolf Operations Manager John Hirst (7) who had the best back 9 of those on 34.

Grahame’s brilliant score won the scratch by 4, ahead of Saunton's Barrie Buller, Churston’s Colin Masters and Warren’s Jeremy Binch all with 31.
