THE LATE PETER BROWN

It is with great sadness that I report the passing of Peter Brown after a short illness. He was a Member of Royal North Devon since 1950 and has served on many committees. 

Peter was Club Chairman on 9 occasions, President in 1990, Vets' Captain in 2013 and has been a trustee since 1976.

Peter also served for 39 years on the Devon Golf Union Executive and was captain in 1973, 1978 and 1985 when Devon won the English County Finals. He was Devon President between 1992-1994.

Peter also founded the Devon County Junior Golf Society in 1954 and he served for 6 years on the English Golf Committee as well as the South West Committee and was their President in 1996.

Peter will be sorely missed in many golfing circles and our thoughts go out to Kate and Simon at this sad time.

The funeral will be held at Barnstaple Crematorium on Friday, 12th April at 11am.
