DEVON AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP - Revised format change agreed

Devon Amateur Championship Weekend

Sat 19 to Sun 20 May at Saunton East Course.

After due consideration, the Devon Golf committee has decided to amend the 2 day competition format to:

Sat 19 May - 36 Holes Strokeplay for the Gold Medal (online entries only £40 inc lunch) from which the top 8 players (positions detemined by play-off if needs be) will play Matchplay on Sunday morning and afternoon. When registering you are required to tell us whether to wish to play in the Matchplay stages on Sunday.

Sun 20 May - 2 flights of Matchplay for the Amateur Championship (top 4) - 2 semi-final games in the morning with Final in the afternoon. 2nd four players for the "Wish" Slater Salver - 2 semi-finals in the morning and final in the afternoon.

Sun 20 May - President's Trophy - 18 Holes Scratch & Handicap Medal - for all to enter  (max 24 C Hcp). Online entries accepted - tee times from 0850 to 1230. Reserved spaces (1040-1230) kept for Gold Medal competitors from previous day who wish to enter.  £15 for Visitors and £5 for Saunton Members. See Website.
