Wessex League emphatic win for Devon, Sunday 3 Sep

The team travelled to The Bristol GC to face Gloucestershire in our final match of the Wessex League. Any of the 4 teams had a chance of winning the Wessex shield but it was important that we gain another win. My team did not let me down with a convincing 10- 2 win on a blustery and rainy day. They were all a credit to Devon Golf and I was extremely pleased with this being my last match as manager. We await the result of the final match between Somerset and Gloucestershire to see if we have won the Wessex shield. A big thanks to all the players who have contributed to this season's matches.  Also, thanks to the host club.
