WESSEX WIN FOR DEVON

Devon 2nds defeated the visiting Gwent Team at Exeter in their Wessex League Match on Sunday last.

Roger Worthington, Devon's Team Manager, reported:

"A winning performance on a well-presented course at Exeter GCC on the 6^th August puts the Team back in the hunt for the Wessex League Shield. There were some exceptional results from a team made up of some "new faces", but yet again the young talent in our U18 squad (Ben Phillips, Lewis Beer & Scott Parker) shone through to help us gain a needed victory. I was pleased with the performance and team spirit of all my players.
