DEVON GOLF CHAIRMAN stands down

Summary of AGM content

1. 22/44 Clubs were represented.  11 DGL Directors present.
2. AGM Minutes 17 Feb 2016 approved
3. PKF Francis Clark were re-appointed Auditors
4. The per capita Affiliation Fee from 1st January 2018 had been agreed by the DGL Board at £10.
5. Mr S. Bawden as Chairman gave his Report as did Mr T. Reynolds (President) - to be circulated with the Minutes.
6. Messrs W. Hendry (East Devon), R. Ward (Dainton Park) & G. Williams (Finance Director) became Directors of DGL
7. Mr R. Pillow (Exeter) was re-elected as a Director.
8. Messrs  P. Cliff (Finance Director), M. Jewell (Tiverton) & G. Green (Gt. Torrington) retired from the Board of Directors.
9. Palairet Trophy Order of Play - the vote (from those clubs present and authorised proxy votes) showed in favour of reverting to the original ascending combined handicap order of play. Votes cast - 24 clubs in favour and 5 against the motion.
10. Mr S. Bawden (Chairman) stood down from the Board of Directors
11. Mr P. Cliff was elected as an Honorary Member (Hon. Vice-President) of DGL.
12. Mr George Rumbold (DGL Director and County Handicap Advisor) gave a very interesting presentation on Course Rating and Handicapping (to be sent to clubs).
