County Team Training Session 11 March

Last Saturday Woodbury Park hosted a pre-season get together for all of the Devon County squads. The day included a presentation from Andy Larmour (Ocean Physio) followed by a talk and a short game clinic from John Bickerton twice a winner on the European Tour.  Also in attendance was the Srixon Tour van, everyone who was in attendance had the opportunity to have a look behind the scenes of life on tour and at the same time take the opportunity to have their clubs regripped and/or check loft and lies in preparation for the season.

I would like to say a big thank you to Andy Larmour, John Bickerton, Iain Steele and the Srixon team and special thanks to Roger Worthington and Paul Smale who helped make the day such a success.

Note that because of arm injury, John Bickerton was not able to demo the shots, so our Gary stepped into the breach to display with confidence and accuracy, all the shots required to get the ball down the holes in the least number of shots.  His first 60 yard pitch finished 1 inch away! Well done Gary. I expect not many of the onlookers had seen Gary play these shots before. What a great opportunity for all. It was an excellent show. JHirst
