ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL COUNTY CARD EVENT!
GLORIOUS DAY at Teignmouth for the 2nd County Card Competition in 2016
100 County Card Members (50 Pairs) were treated to a gorgeous day out at Teignmouth Golf Club on Tuesday 27th September.
Excellent weather prevailed with just a gentle breeze ensuring that players concentration had to be maintained throughout the day. Players were very complimentary of the course which was found to be in very good condition and together with the excellent bar and catering service added to the success of the day's event.
Many thanks to all competitors and to all indoor and outdoor staff for making the day go so well.
Devon Golf Officials present on the day to look after the necessary admin were Paul Smale, Rick Pillow, Sue Jackson and Will Hendry. Thanks to them for all their hard work. John Hirst, Operations Manager of Devon Golf, who played on the day, was delighted with the outcome.
Congratulations to the winning pair of Trevor and Margaret Smith from Sparkwell Golf Club who had an excellent round and finished 3 points ahead of the local boys! Richard Wilson and Derrick King from Teignmouth – well done.
